Swimmers Raise Over $25,000 in the 2nd Annual, Swim a Mile for Hospice! Thank you!

Hospice supporters took to the waters off of Postwood Park beach in Hannawa Falls, swam a mile and raised over $25,000. The annual event is a non-competitive, open water swim in support of
Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
Together, swimmers raised funds to support patient and family services here in St. Lawrence County.
Volunteers in 32 kayaks, 5 motor boats and 2 jet skis along with the Hannawa Falls Fire Department and the Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad made up the safety team. Volunteers on the beach helped in many ways to make the morning event run...swimmingly. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Nine Potsdam Central students won the trophy for raising the most money as a school $1,034. Each year, the trophy is engraved with the winning school's name and displayed in their trophy case. Congratulations Potsdam! Thanks also to our three Colton Pierrepont swimmers for their second place finish, raising $230! Thank you all!
